hi everyone this is my first post. im having a problem with a bronco i just picked up, its my second bronco, and ive owned plenty of ford full size pickups.
its a 1990 eb 351w w/auto trans, stock manual locking hubs approx 140k i believe. i pick the truck up about 3 weeks age and it sat for a while before but started up and ran great. drove it 45 miles in new jersey traffic home with no problem. did an oil change, had the shop flush and fill tranny and and new gasket. then i did a full tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and an accel coil i had laying around) then a starter, pcv, breather, air cleaner passenger window motor gear. the truck ran great for 2 days then i swerved to avoid an oncoming car and hit a garbage can at about 35 mph and then the problems started.
immediately after the truck started spiting and popping till i limped her home. every time i started her up she would run great for about a minute then back to spiting and popping to the point i could barely hit 25 mph or less. running very lean. since then ive replaced fuel filter, TPS, MAP sensor, ignition control module, and ive check fuel pressure (came back normal. ive also checked rotor, wires were tight and in the right position. but still the problem starts up as soon and it starts to warm up. ive also disconnected the o2 sensor, and coolant temp sensor with nothing helping, so im looking for any advice suggestions ideas
Thank you in advance to every one who can help
Jeff
