I'm not trying to add any fuel to the fire but from what I've ever noticed, the 302 and 351 intakes are different. When I was new to the engine thing (not that I've been doing it for several years) I did have a hard time realizing what was the 302 and the 351. Now I'm talking about the S.B. 351 since I've had no experience with the B.B. 351. I found that if you look at them in an engine bay, you can place your hand sideways and go the distance between both heads on a 302 but not the 351 hense the difference in size. Also, you have to bore the bolt holes on the heads of a 302 to fit the 351 but to put 351 heads on a 302 you can buy certain bolts I do believe. Now I'm up for any knoledge on this as long as it can be backed up from personnal experience. I've placed 302 heads on a 351 and have seen 351 heads "retro fitted" on a 302 with washers of all things. Another thing I have noticed is that the distributer on the 302 seems to be more centered on the block where the 351's seem to be more off to the right side. Well, that seemed to be as "to the point" as I can be. Thanks for letting me share my $.02
