89 efi to carb swap 351

i do know some of this has been covered but i can not get any stright answers. does any one know the wiring sequence for this change or direct me to the right place. i do have all the parts to make the change. i do know some people perfer efi over carb but i live in so. az and do alot off road down south. it is easy to make repairs when you are in the middle of no where. any help in this matter would be great. thanks.

What ignition system are you going to use? I would suggest a MSD6A or MSD6AL with a MSD Blaster II coil and a MSD Tac adapter.

thank you for the responce, i think you made a good choice on the ing. i just recived the dist. and will work on the rest. do you know once i get rid of the computer, what wires do i need to connect from the main harness. (engine and drive trans i can rebuild), wiring thats a whole new thing for me. i also put a 9" today and i am getting to the front. thank you

The reason I asked about the ignition system is that it may make some minor differences in how you hook to your start system. If you are putting a MSD on it, I have a diagram of mine that I could upload. If it is a stock Duraspark II system it is not quite the same but it could also be worked out. If it is some other system I'm sure it can be relatively easy to work out.

yes it is a stock ing. did 302 to new 351 2 months ago removed all smog junk. (not in smog control area) left the org. harness in it. wife wants a bigger engine so i did the stroker for her. have a msd pro-billet dist to start with. i also have a 94 eb stripped down to the skin and the same engine will be going in that one also. i have to start some where so anything on the wiring would be alot of help. let me know about the down load.

OK, you say it s a stock Ford ignition system, but what we need to know is, which one? Do you have the ignition module? If so, post a picture of it, please keep the picture size down to at least 1024 x 768.
