89 bronco idle problems help

Did you use sealant with the gasket under the throttle body?

Did you do anything to change your timing?

Did you spray carb cleaner at the throttle body gasket?

Maybe you got and installed a bad IAC? Maybe it isn't getting power?

I'm sorry man... I am out of ideas.

Hopefully someone better than me will jump in. There certainly are a lot of sharpe people here with more experience than me.

I have an 89 302 efi BRONCO 90,000 MILES. My idle went up and recently will not come back down. It goes to 1800 RPM comes back to 1600 then goes back and forth. In drive it Idles at about 1200 RPM. I tried IAC changing that out, I tried a new TPS, and adjusting it, cleaned the whole trottle body liberaly, put a new throttle body gasket on, replaced a few qestionalbe vacum lines, PCV valve ....double triple checked vacum lines.......still same syptoms not a lick better. HELP!

Did you try re-setting the computer---take negative lead off for a few minute----- drive around 20 miles----that fixed mine
