88 Bronco II Transmission rattle/ hiss?

I just picked up an 88 bronco II and did an oil change and was going to do tranny fluid, but it looked good still and I couldn't really figure out where to drain it at first. lol...

I have put about 300 miles on it and now pretty much everytime i come to a stop i hear this kind of hissing rattling noise coming from what seems to be the tranny.

Tranny shifts good, sometimes taking a few seconds to shift into drive.. and gives me a slight clunk when i let off the gas.. feels like rear end might have a slight gap.

i have to drive from LA to rialto today and want to make sure i'm ok doing so..

i lost the whole tread on my tire going like 65mph on the 91. :wacko: truck made it home..

I'm going to replace tranny fluid filter and gear fluids. Any suggestions appreciated.
