87 Transmisson swap

I have a 87 Bronco 4x4 351W 4 Barrel C6. Does anyone know of an overdrive tranny swap?

The easiest for your 87 would be the AOD tranny. It's not as strong as the C6 but does have an overdrive (OD) gear. the bellhousing boltpattern from either a 302 or 351W is the same for both the AOD and C6, as is the transfer case to tranny adapter. Only difference is in the t-case shifter linkage. You 87 t-case is most likely the Borg-Warner 13-56. If it's a manual shift version, it's very difficult to find the linkage specifically made for the AOD/ B-W 13-56 combo. JSM84
