how do i adjust my tailgate on my bronco II 1987 xlt?one side closes fine and my other side,the left side is not closing and rattles as i drive.please let me know,all my books show me is how to adjust a rangers tailgate and not my broncos rear door.

I'm not sure if the whole bracket with the door locking pin can be adjusted, but you might try this . . .

The plastic sleeve around the door locking pin decreases in diameter (from age & use?) and/or comes right off. Then the door latch is then closing around a too-small diameter pin, hence the rattling. I have been able to make my rear door stop rattling simply by wrapping a few circles of electrical tape around the pin to increase its diameter. Eventually (usually after a few months or more) I have to remove the tape (it gets chewed up) and replace it. Good Luck.

check you're wheel well for bent or rusted floor lot't of prom whit rust have 5 of them at 1 time also look back of truck about 8 ft see if bumper strait w gate gl
