Hi i got this truck from a friend who moved back east and it runs but is not finished and i'm a newbie to this but willing to learn. It as origionall a automatic efi but he but in a 351 and turned it into a carb and manual vehicle. Only wires hooked up are what makes it run and only instriment pannel working is batt one. and the heater works. need help to figure out how to hook up gas guage, oil, tem, and speedo. also trying to install a deck but dont think there is power going to that either. not even sure where to start. was thinking of taking the dash off and looking around there.

good luck with the project, get your self a haynes manual, or any type of wiring diagram for the electronics with the efi that it used to have, and a wiring setup for an 85 carbed setup with the same components and start retrofitting it. the speedo will just be a cable that runs from the dash to the transfer case if the original wasnt cut or completly removed it will likley still be hanging under the bronco. you will just have to re connect it to the transfercase.

a properly wired and tuned vehicle with a carb is just as reliable as an efi, and less prone to random breakdowns dues to wiring shorts or component breakdown from thermal stresses.

good luck and have fun.
