83 BRONCO

I JUST GOT AN 83 BRONCO FOR FREE, WITH A CATCH, MY BUDDY MOVED TO OHIO FROM MONTANA AND WAS TOWING IT BEHIND A U-HAUL, SOMETHING FELL AND ENGAGED 4X4. NOW IT WILL NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR! ITS AUTOMATIC. ANY IDEAS? THANKS, V

Rebuild the tranny and transfer case or get new ones? It might have bunt all the fluid in them both. One of my friends did that and they just got new stuff. @-)

let me guess they didn't remove the driveshaft right...because of being a 83 most lickly it has manual hubs so u lucked out that it didn't engage fully that would have been bad /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i would look at just the transmission being burnt out from the trip from spinning without oil pressure.

probably any c6 trans around your year that had a 6 cylinder or small block V-8 should do the trick from a bronco or f150 /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Most F150, F250 and Bronco parts are interchangable, in your case 80 - 86. Definately any 80 - 86 C6 from a I6 300, V8 302 or 351 will fit.
