Reversing the leads reverses the direction of the motor. If you jumpered it and nothing happened, the motor is bad. If you heard it running when jumpering then the gears are bad.

Good luck,

Is it just me or is it bad window season?
Im just trying to get one on the road as cheap as posible that as been just sitting for six or seven years becouse the owner didn't want to mess with it. So far I,ve spent $100.00 for the Bronco, barrowed a battery, and put on my Kia's winter tires and have been driving it around the naighborhood. I have bought a few things that will be going on this week.

If the motor is good, and the gears are bad (which IS a common failing on those motors) then the gears aren't too hard to find or replace. Be sure you **** it well, and don't get any dirt or stuff in when you seal it back up. If it's the motor, I've seen them on Ebay for around $50-60 new, but not Ford manufactured. Local salvages might have good used ones. LMC Truck also sells them, and the gears. You can find the gears on Ebay too.
