8 lug ttb swap

ive heard something about using 8 lug chevy 10 bolt stuff to make the ttb44 8 lug is this true? is it spindles out or what i fuond the chevy axle for $100 locally made me wonder about it. thanks

What you have to do is take the TTB spindle and cut off the brake caliper ears so that it is just the spindle , Now you dont have to change the stub axle as they are the same . Take the chevy axle apart and bolt everything ( spindle , caliper mount plate ) onto the TTB knuckle the bolt pattern is the same . Reassemble the hubs and your all set you now have an 8 lug TTB . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

not to be ignorant but..is there any point to doing that?? do you gain any strength to the ttb or it is mainly just for looks??

im thinkin about buildin up the f150 into a "tough truck"..why im keeping the ttb i can bounce around and not tear it up i plan on using a 10.25 rear so my speedometer and everything still works. the chevy stuff is just so i can use the same wheel all aruond and just somethin different to work on as everything else i have is 78-79 t see a point to put a straight axle under it anymore. my straight axle trucks feel squishy on the road with deaver springs and the f150 is my work/travel truck sees alot of highway and want to keep it stable.
