my 8.8 is junk and im tired of it does any one know of an exact swap for my 86 id rather spend 100 bucks on a rearend then to rebuild mine agin

you can pull a 9 inch out of any ford fullsize truck of that era and it will bolt right up, no electronic speed sensor for you, its a gear driven speedo cable in the T-Case

any drive shaft issues would i use my original or the one off the truck i get the rear end out of? thanks i was begining to think no one could help.

here is a good article on a 9" swap into an 89 Bronco by Dustin S

See page 2, #24. The original driveshaft is now too short. This is past maximum extension, at rest.

Price the 9" at local yards; may be too much $$$; some buy Broncos & F seres just for these 9' diffs for their street/weekend drag (AND pro drag) runners. You may find a Bronco 8.8 much more affordable at the yards.
