i am thinking of buying my first bronco. i have found a 74 half cab and i am wondering if the cab and the sheet metal behing the seats comes out or if you take the top of if the divider stays in behind the seats. also the guy says he doesnt know what the rear ends are were there standard rear ends in that year or were they different.

The half cab option wasn't available in 1974... make sure you check the

VIN number with your DMV, or ask the owner if he added the roof and bulkhead

to a 74.

The bulkhead is a bolt in piece, it is removeable (if a factory part was used)

and of course the roof is fully removeable as well.

There were basically three options for the rear end that year, but they were based on GVWR for the truck. The rear diff will be a 9", the front should be a

Dana 44.

ok if it is a 74 and they replaced the full top with a half cab then it should be no problem replacing with a full top. and on the 9" did they come with 28 or 31 spline axles?
