I have a 72 bronco with a 302. What im having problems with is when the motor gets up to opp. temp it pushes coolent out the cap, into burp tank and on the floor. until the radiator is half full. It dosnt over heat unless it gets about 85 or 90. but if i could have it full, i know it woudnt over heat. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK.

"What I'm having problems with is when the motor gets up to opp. temp."

--This should be +- 180deg. (assuming gage is correct)--

If you warm it up with the cap off, (rad. full) & water runs out the cap hole, you may have a restricted radiator.....along with a weak cap.

Could be a sticky thermostat involved as well.

You didn't say but I'm assuming this happens in route as well as parked..?
