Most might know this but Tom's Bronco Parts sells a fan shroud for those with 2"-3" body lifts for $100.

I run a 2" body lift so the stock fan shroud doesn't fit unless I drop the radiator 2" to match up with the engine. The easy fix was to buy the 2" body lift shroud.

Winter I run electric becasue of deep water. The electric don't keep the motor cool enough in summer so I go back to the mechanical fan. Without a fan shroud it would overheat. A radiator shield is another good option when using a mechanical fan so the fan doesn't go through the radiator. This can be made in your own shop for $10.

I was having the same prob and built my own fan shroud but it didn't seem to work as well as it should have. So I bought a new set of lower radiator mounts and lowered them 2 inches and just redrilled my top rad mounts so now I am back to where the radiator should be. It took about 1 hour and a lot of headaches over the body lift is now gone. My lower radiator would end up rubbing a hole in it from my oversized alternator.
