Howdy;

I am getting ready to purchase a 6" for my 95 Bronco. After looking at kits and reading reviews I was pretty set on an Explorer Pro Comp Stage II kit. However, I realized I hadn't gone to the one place I usually go to for parts, JBG. After checking out the graveyard I saw that they had a 6" kit that utilizes Superlift components. I am not very aware of Superlift and wanted to get the opinion of the forum as to which route would be better, the Superlift of the Explorer Pro Comp.

Also, I am more into higher speed off-roading as opposed to crawling, so I am looking into ladder bars for better traction control. What would be a better addition, 5ft ladder bars or a Superlift traction bar setup?

Thanks

Kinda hard to say, depends on what you want. Most of the major names sell quality kits & stand behind them (Superlift is one, SkyJacker is another, Explorer is yet a third. All good companies) Comparing lift kits is sort of like asking who makes the best small block, you're going to get an awful lot of opinions (well, maybe not in THIS forum). They're all good kits and have strong & weak points. Just by way of notice, L&L has (or used to anyways) a killer set of rear ladders. High-speed off-road doesn't have as much to do with traction (ladders & traction-bars) as it does with actual suspension travel (long-travel remote reservoir shocks, coilovers & such). Spend some time thumbing thru the archives, there's a LOT to there to be learned.

I also prefer the Skyjacker Class II 6" lift for the strength of their extended radius arms. The Superlift kit allows you to use their SuperRunner steering system, which helps reduce the severe angles on the drag link and steering linkage. There are lots of otpions and add-ons depending on the specific kit you buy, as well as difference in price. I did alot of searching before I found a deal on the SkyJ kit from a local 4x4 shop.
