just wondering if anyone else has a bronco with a 5 speed? i have a 93 that is 302, roller, and 5 speed factory. i know that ford never offered the 5.8 with a manual, but i havent seen any other broncos with the manual tranny! any body else????? i like it and wouldnt trade it for 2 autos. it runs strong and pulls good too, makes for a nice tow rig too. 4"superlift and 33"bfgs on 15x10 aluminum wheels, catback flowmaster with duals, and k&n. just all the usual goodies. im sure its not rare to be a manual but i have looked around and all that i see are autos. what do you say? thanks

Used to be be Auto was an "OPTION", Now days standard is an option.

5.8's are concerdered by the EPA too powerful for a standard, but if you have a C6, and can find a donor for the parts a T-5 or Tremec will bolt right up.

Anyone know if a 5 speed will bolt up to a 300 six and where I can get one? I have a 83' with a 4 speed wide ratio SROD.

I'm running a 5 spd manual tranny in my '88 with a 300 six. I'm sure there's gotta be more than a couple of options out there for you.

2fordbroncos, there's quite a few manuals out there. There's just fewer people driving them. It's sort of a bonus though. Means fewer people asking to borrow our trucks!

I wouldn't trade it for the world either. I've been driving one so long I borrowed a friends truck w/manual transmission and spent 5 minutes trying to get the key out before I remembered it had to be in park first. Stupid manual transmissions!

ive seen a couple 5spd late broncos. i have a 96 f150 with the 300 and 5spd. when im done building my 79 bronco im gonna straight axle the 96 and put my spare 300 np435/205 in it. i figure with a built 300 and 9" of lift (3" body) im not gonna wanna go fast enough to need overdrive that the granny would be more useful.
