I, have a 1978 Bronco, with the granny low four speed. I've read about the ZF5 swaps, and I could consider the ZF5 swap. However, my 400 engine has been balanced with the flywheel, and pressure plate. So, when I was at the Good Guys car show, in Columbus Ohio, I asked a representative from American Powertrain, about five speed swaps into a 1978 Bronco. Since, I installed 4:11's in it, a five speed is really needed.
The representative, didn't have any information; so, I contacted American Powertrain directly. The bad news is, that they don't have anything yet. However, the email from them said that "We are working on a solution for this, but it may be a few months before the kit is available."
This, could be a standard reply; but, I'll contact them this fall.
