Pulled the motor out of my 84 Bronco this weekend, it had a loud knock in the bottom end. Upon removing the oil pan, found several metal shards and a few bigger chunks. Plus, the oil looks like chocolate milk, very thick and sludgey.

It's a NAPA longblock from 2001 with only about 20K miles. Didn't last very long, huh?
Looking for any suggestions on a replacement motor, as this one is beyond hope, since it prolly has a cracked block allowing coolant into the oil along with one or more busted main or rod bearings.
