BB84- are u sticking with efi or switching to carb? the radiators would have to be changed out because the inlet/outlets are reversed and i think the 300 has a one row radiator, the motor mounts i think different also, the computer might not recognize the 302. is it a manual or auto?

i think the 300 and the 289/302/351W all have the same bolt pattern, to be sure check the two top rear holes on block, they should be 5 1/4" on center

Dont use the 300 flywheel on the 302 it isnt balanced correctly and yes it will bolt to the tranny . You will need to get the V8 frame mounts for the motor as well . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

keep the 300! its a better motor. more torque and bullet proof:)

As far as i know the 300 and the small block v8s have the same bell housing however I dont know about the flex plate back. I dont know how the 302s were balanced. You can find them cheap enough finding a motor/tranny pair if there is any question. A few months ago i gave away an 89 bronco that was efi 5.0 with an aod tranny.
