2 different brake systems?

Quick question... my 88 bronco has 2 different brake system. It has Drums in the back, and pads in the front, thats how i bought it. Is there any reason why someone would do that? Is that common on off-road enabled vehicles?

yea thats how most vehicles come. get yourself a chiltions or Haynes book will help volumes in identifying stuff for your year and make.
