Hello. I'm having a **** of a time ordering these parts correctly from Summit Racing. I’m changed out the Napa OEM replacement stuff I bought a few months back, because the wires were not seating on the dist. cap correctly. I have ordered a MDS#8482 cap/rotor and MSD# 8227 coil. I have received two sets of plug wires to date. A set of ford racing that fit a old style coil and a motorcraft set that will not fit securely at the MDS coil. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the wires are pushing back off, that is because of the tight fit of wire boot. That is Good but annoying since it gives a great seal. If it is slipping back out, you are compressing the air caught inside. Use a little non-conductive silicone grease (very light, just enough to feel but not see), press the boot on while holding the edge open to let the air out.

Good luck,

:)>-
