I recently purchased a 92 eddie bower 5.8L - I had some noise in my front end when turning hard right. I have replaced the steering gear box with a new one, needless to say I am going to replace the p/s pump as well. I have a 1987 5.0L full size bronco as a parts truck. What parts if any are interchangeable? After browsing many websites, I have discovered that the hubs are different, and the p/s gear box was different, and the 87 p/s pump is slightly different. Should I just forget using any parts from my 87 parts truck, and return it to the joker who sold it to me, because of the compatibility issues in swapping parts?

I have wasted many hours removing parts from the 87 - only to find that the 92 is different. Please comment, for I am very frustrated, and need to get some clairity on how to go on from this point, I really need to get my 92 back on the road/trail.

Please Help Me - Brian

you are not going to find alot of parts that are the same for and 87 and a 92, different body style inside and out. of course, i would just fix 'em both. two broncos are better than one.

...but seriously, you won't find a whole lot of parts to switch back and forth. If you can only afford one, I would inspect each one thoroughly and keep the better one.

And welcome to BroncoZone. There are guys here who can answer just about any question on either one.
