So I have a question concerning my Bronco. I know I'm the second owner and the truck came from Alaska. What I'm not sure of is what exactly is different about this truck. I have noticed some small things that has got me curious. I noticed it has a bench seat instead of the captains chairs. The spare is mounted in the bed instead of the tailgate and it has a block battery and oil pan warmer on it. It has the Alaska state shape emblems on the fenders as well. I was just curious if anyone knew anything about them. What all is different? Any info would be great, but like I said it's mostly just curiosity.

Last time I checked alaska was part of the US, so i dont know what your talking about ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> as far as everything else it sounds like dealer mods

the badges would not be factory from ford but the dealer might have had them made for all their vehicles. the bench seat certainly sounds weird though, I didn't think it was possible to get a bronco with a bench seat in it.

the heater is for sure from a dealer, with temperatures that gets below even where Celsius and Fahrenheit are the same numbers a block, battery and oil pan heater would be a must. who wants a truck that wont start in the cold?

on the options and bench seat I would try to track down the dealer and see if they can send you any copy's of the original build sheets or order sheets.

Nothing unusual there... contractors/workers ship their veh. all over the world.... &/or ship them home if purch. at the jobsite.

Last time I checked.. Alaska was permanently attached to Canada (for the most part) & suspect International Commerce... >:D< <'>

Lots of military veh. are/were equipped with bench seats.

I bought it from a guy in Myrtle Beach. He purchased it from the original owner in Alaska about two months prior to me buying it. I had never seen a Bronco with a bench seat either. The one that really got me curious is the spare tire mount. I know FOR SURE I have never seen a Bronco with the spare mounted in the bed. It is not on the tail gate and never has been. I've searched for the holes or where they were filled after it got moved. The inside mounting appears to be factory.

No this was mostly just me making sure I wasn't going to run into any problems getting parts. I would hate to go to the parts store just to find out it has some special three qt oil filter that cost 80 bucks. LOL. That would be my luck tho. As always I appreciate the info I get on here and really enjoy this page.
