1988 Bronco II fuel problem

Does anyone out there know where the fuel pump is located in the 88 Bronco II????

I'm going to take a wild guess at it. You didn't tell anything about the truck other than its a Bronco II. If it is fuel injected, you may have one or two pumps. If there is only one, it will be inside the tank. If there are two, the second one will be on the somewhere along the drivers side frame rail. If the truck has a carburator, you may have a mechanical pump. In that case it will be mounted on the side of the engine.

This is general Ford information as I have never worked on a BroncoII or Ranger. You'll get better answers to your questions if you post them in the Bronco II section of the Forum and give a little more information about your truck. (engine size, transmission, etc.)

I just bought a 88 ford bronco 2(2.9L) that has a fuel problem i figured that all i would have to do is part out my 89 2.9L ford bronco 2 with a blown tranny well i found out that the 88 is almost extally the same but it has some suddle differenses one being that the 88 has Two fuel pumps one in the tank and one that is just before the fuel fillter just follow the fuel line up from the fuel tank and you will find a black fuel pump that looks like a black cup But this for the 88 2.9l fuel injected model im not sure if that is for every model. they really are almost the same i thought my 89 front end looked better i swaped out my side panels and my dashs doors from my 89 to my 88 **** if i wanted to i could swap vins just kidding would never do that but i was making a point.

there is one in the fuel tank, and there is a high pressure fuel pump under the driver under the vehicle on the chassis.

i have a 1989 bronco ll.....have a fuel leak under driver door. there is a canister before the secondary pump what is this.......? i stopped this leak , now leaking from the secondary fuel pump[ where it connects] tried taking off.putting on....very irratyic ....any help

the canister is a collection area before the hi flow pump, some years they had a filter in them others did not not sure what years did an didnt. the best way to take it off is with one of those oil filter belt wrench.

fisrt need to know what you're prob

there two pump 1 in tank and 1 under driver side frame rail near fuel filter

there also fuel cut-off switch instument panel near tranms ****

relay r hand fender look for coroded connnector

fusable link on starter relay

here some prob found on those bronco

bab or coroded sending unit / fuel pump relay connection / fuel cut off switch activated/

check fuse and fusable link first check for power on frame mount pump / gas filter /

if all ok need to take gas tank off

on my bronco/s made costom made door in rear so future repair don't need to take tank off againd

ps got 3 of them in lot more ford truck's
