Had it running great, took the coil out, painted it. Made sure I scrapped off all surfaces to metal for good ground, put it back on, and no spark. Replaced the coil, still nothing. What could have happened?

As you know there are two little wires that go to the coil. Although they may look good, it is possible that they are broken within the insulation. Make sure that you have 12 volts to the bat side of the coil when the key is in the on position. And that you have continuity from one end of the other wire to where it terminates.

Also, sometimes the coil wire will work its way out of the coil if it is not fully seated, or if it is not fully seated in the cap.
