So on both sides of the Bronco the quarter panels are pretty bad, and in multiple spots. So patching them is outta the question. I know they would look bad when I was done. So I'm trying to do the next best thing and replace the whole skin on both sides, I wanna break in my new spot welder bad. Well my main problem is I can't find new or used skins for my year Bronco. And the junk yards are being picked clean of parts, bronco's are popular were I live. My question is if I bought a quarter panel for a 87-96 would the fit. I'm not so much worried about the body lines. Would I weld back in place with little modification. I'd had to scrap the project after spending the time and money I have already

If you can't find the 80 - 86 quarters, then yes you can use the 87-96 panels http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fd/full.aspx?Page=15 .  You will also need the inner wheel arch

They do have the 80 -86 panel but only the RH side.  It is possible they have both but not enough stock to advertise it in the catalog see page 14.  You can call them and find out if they still have the LH side.

I did this several years ago and they had both, I could have also gotten them from a local body parts supplier.

See these pictures http://www.supermotors.net/registry/212/76163-4

It was more work getting the old ones off without destroying the inner panel than putting on the new quarters.  There are a zillion spot welds to cut.

Good luck,

Good luck

I love the Bronco graveyard, sadly there quarter panels for my year truck aren't on there website only in there catalog.I've messaged them to see what's up. I'm about to do the same for lmc. Hopefully someone has them. Once I get the rear quarters figured out I will feel comfortable moving forward with this massive overhaul

That wasn't Bronco Graveyard,it is LMC Truck.  It looks like the 80-86 are out of production, but 87 to 96 will work.  You will have to change the tail lights. Call both of them.  Some times these guys have a part but don't advertise it due to stock quantity and ability to get new stock.

By the way, no matter who you get body panel parts from, they all come from the same manufacturer in China.  They bought up the tooling to produce them.
