After it has been sitting for a couple of days, it is real hard to start. It takes about 8 or 9 tries and pumping the gas petal like mad to get it started. If I turn the ingnition on and work the acellerator pump on the 2150 it will start faster. I am thinking that the acellerator pump is bad, but I would like to poll the experts to see what ya'll think.

Thanks,

Tod

couple of question how cold are we talking here, how does it run when its going? it may be just clogged up, thats what happened to my dads 69 mustang, carb got full of crap and would hardly start. if its the accelerator pump then you might just have to replace the diaphragm

this is a picture of all the parts associated with the accelerator pump, the black rubber piece is the part that fails most commonly, it might be worth getting off a ford carb at the scrap yard, or maybe a parts place might be able to get you something.

Hows the choke look. I had to spray mine down with WD40 and work it a few times. Mine was sitting for a while but you never know. Check the vacuum line that goes to it as well.
