hey guys, im looking at a 1973 eb

it "should" have for a stock set up......

dana 44 frt

dana 30 t-case

ford 9in rear

correct?

how do you tell if it has the D-44 set up?? numbers, markings?

and the 9in unbolts from the front and the rear housing "pumpkin" is just larger right? any other give aways?????

also, it already has the power brake set up for a drum. So my question is.... there any frt disc set up i could use from a junkyard rig? instead of spending big $$$

Dana 44 has ball joints (in almost all cases.. there were very, very few king pin 44s built)

the t case should be a Dana 20

The rear diff will be a 9", the HD (larger centered housings) weren't used until 76/77.

A chev disc brake conversion will work, you'll need a disc/ drum master, and proportioning valve.

Dana 44 diff cover will look like this...

thanks, but what year chevy truck do i need, and there isnt a ford F-series that will swap out??
