Both of the tail light housing on my 1971 Bronco are rusted out at the bottom real bad. I would like to remove and replace them. I have removed the tail light itself and looked through this opening and can see some spot welds but no real good way to get at these welds to remove the . Any help Thanks!!!

One can use a cut-off wheel, etc. to remove most of the metal....then drill out the spot-welds...but then you still need to get in there to weld on the new ones.

I think you're talking about the area just below the tail-lights.

Tac-weld some wire grid in the hole, shapped & formed, then fill it with bondo....works great..!

Unless you're doing a total resto.
