Hello! This is my first time posting, but there has always been a Ford Bronco in my life. One of my earliest memories is watching the transmission from the 1966 Bronco that my dad was towing being scattered across the highway!

So this is my delima: my sister gave me a 1967 soft top Bronco that came with a piece of property she had purchased. I worked on it for a couple of years; lifted it a couple of inches, new body mounts, new tires, replaced rusted floors, etc. Then she asked if I would sell it back to her for what I had in it. So for $3,500 she got her Bronco back. Well, not long thereafter her boyfriend was driving it and the transmission came apart. It has been sitting now for 2+ years.
Well my sister is moving and needs to get rid of the Bronco. She offered it to me for $2,000.
What to do, what to do. I Have been wanting a new project, but I was really thinking something military, either a diesel truck or jeep. But this maybe just the ticket, put a 302 with new tranny or keep the inline and find/fix the old one.
Thoughts?
