I am trying to find out if anyone has had any expeirance with the 170 six cylinder that came as OEM for the '66 model year.. I am heading to the dunes and am worried about the oil bath filter not performing properly and would like to switch it out. Before I measure hood clearance and go about it the hard way I thought I would ask if anyone has done this and can sve me some of the headache.

Thank You for your help!!!

A low profile filt. & housing should work.

Some auto parts store will let you try them on for clearance. (AZ, Checker, etc.)

Save me the oil bath...I'll take it off your hands..!

Listen to Bob...save him the oil bath...lol

I would keep it and just get the lo-pro cleaner for play and swap it out w/the oil bath when you aren't.
