That shouldn't cause it not to start, but it will mess the computer up and I believe the default will be to run your engine too rich. You need to install a **** on the pipe to reinstall the sensor and the computer to properly adjust the fuel air mixture. FFI (Ford Fuel Injection) sells the parts you need to do it. While you are there take a look at the information he has on fuel injected engines. He is a wealth of knowledge in that area. http://rjminjectiontech.com/collections/sensors

Good luck,

One thing I forgot was that when I installed the headers I also replaces the fuel filter. I did not push the inertia switch when I disconnected the lines. Since then I did reset.the switch but still no luck. Are there any other switches or relays I could check to see why the truck will not start?

yo yetti,

Sorry for the Delay;

Do as our friend Seabronc advised;

and, does the starter engage and turn engine over?

If yes and the starter seems to be turning engine over as "normal"

Do this;

Fuel Pump Test & Diagram at the Diagnostic Link Connector in 84-95; "...Connect FP Relay to any ground to force the fuel pump(s) on when the key is in RUN..." Source: by Steve83 (Steve, That dirty old truck) at SuperMotors.net

If pumps do Not run;

ck ckt; and jump our the interia switch;

Wiring Diagram in an 89

Also, may as well check for Codes using a Self Test by our friend, BroncoJoe19

do the KOEO = Key On Engine Off portion first &

Remember to have engine @ Normal Operating Temperature before doing the KEY ON ENGINE RUNNING (KOER) portion

Post any Code(S) found here by:

KOEO

KOER
