Let's go right to the good stuff! Have 12v to TG key switch but no down, it's all the way up. Bypassed latch switch last time. Had to crawl in from the front to remove cover and window motor. Not much fun. Lowered window and TG to double check wiring. Motor runs for up only. Is there a replacement switch, the one activated by the key? I can make one with relays and switches or solenoids, original would be easier.

Thanks

Elmo,

Thanks for the tip. Do you know where the dash switch is grounded at? I had ohmed the wires and switch, they were good. The TG down switch has bad contacts for the ground so it wasn't working.

Checked local parts houses and Ford dealer for switch and harness but it's out of date, too old. Checked with my friend at the wrecking yard, TG switch is the same for all full size Broncos '78 thru '96. The newer ones will have extra wires for defrost in the window. Only $30.00.

Thanks,

Phoardman

PS. The post says: Bronco newbee, I've had mine for over 25 yrs and I posted so long ago that it doesn't register anymore. Damn,it's **** to be older than dirt. Have a GREAT day!
