first time bronco owner in mississippi

i just purchased this bronco and it's a real headturner just not in a good way anyway i have started to repair leaks in it and every time i repair one i make another so i was wandering if ya'll could help me with this i took pictuers of "the beast" i need to know what goes in the with the blue handled screwdriver (yea i'm real hightech) whatever was in there was completly rusted it had a heater hose hooked up but the distributor was stuck and i broke waht little was left to get the dist. out and if anyone could help please let me know

oyea the hole in the block is not threaded and that is what is so confusingIMG_0650.JPG

I forget how our ex 78 351 was configured...!

I think a press-fit tube goes in that hole and hose attaches; could bw called by-pass tube and by-pass hose.

From Bubba's site;

Block Features (right side)

Upper engine mount boss. Engine mounts attach to the upper boss and two lower bosses just above the oil pan ****** at the bottom of the block (arrows).

Threaded plug into the water jacket.

Lower accessory bracket mounting ****** on right front of block.

Just above the "3" is the oil dipstick hole used for front-sump applications (i.e., cars and pre-1980 4x2 trucks).

Block Features (left side)

Upper engine mount boss.

Threaded plug into the water jacket. This plug corresponds to the one on the right front of the block (previous picture).

Threaded plugs in the lower water jacket might have been intended to support an alternative cooling system, such as in a marine or industrial application.
