What Skidplates Will Work?

Have a pos 79 with new gas tank and all hangers but no skidplate. It is the 25 gal tank, what all years can I steal one from at the yard?

Only the 33 gallon gas tank had the skid plate. The skid plate also supported the gas tank instead of the straps as in the 25 gallon gas tank. I would say that your only option is to make a skid plate. I would think that sheet of 1/4" aluminum diamond plate would work fine.
