Vacuum Hose replacement location

All of my vacuum hoses were broken or gone. I manage to connect all of them except for one.

Can someone tell me where this hose from the purge valve goes, picture 1?

While I am at it.

Does it matter which hose goes where on the canister, picture 2?

It is difficult for me to see where that hose attaches. Is it at bottom of that solenoid? Or into the firewall.

And are you certain that's the charcoal canister? Might that be a sealed vacuum reservoir instead?

Year, model and engine size would be helpful too.
