Huey, you got wrenches? You got sockets? Can you read? Do you have a desire to do the work? If you answered yes to these questions, then don't be afraid!!!
Find your self a good parts store with people who know what they are talking about and a good shop manual and GO!!! These rigs are not difficult, and they are FUN to work on. Drain the gas tanks, inspect the brakes, and fire it up. If it starts, take it for a quick drive and then decide what you want it to do.... If it has been sitting for quite a while; plugs, wires, points, tranny fluid, motor oil, differentials, transfer case should all be changed.
Take it from me, I did one in my garage and I LOVED every minute of it. We will help you with any question you have and most of us are pretty quick....
