I have a 95 Eddie Bauer Bronco with the overhead console. The map lights were missing when I bought it and its a pain without them (dome light does not work). Can anyone tell me what bulbs I need to buy? My local parts store says it need either a 912 or a 561 and neither one fits in the housing.

I have the same assembly as Otto Rex in my overhead console, are you saying that there is a replacement assembly for that? Are you saying they don't make the bulbs for that any more?
It is a small cylinder shaped bulb with a cone shaped contact on each end.

Yah, I added it while I was doing my body metal repairs in the past year and a half. I'll have to look at that TSB. I only had it happen once, but the whole display was going nuts then it quit and hasn't happened since. I looked at the bulb by the way, the only markings on it were "A12V10W" 12 volt 10 watt, in case someone needs to replace a bad one.

That is not it. I'll see if I can get a picture of it. Total over all length is about 1". I will go to my local friendly parts guy today and see if he has them. The one in the picture is too big to fit in and the wrong shape on the end. The glass part on the correct bulb is only about 1/2 inch or shorter.yo Fred & Otto,

OK, just got back from my local friendly parts supplier. The bulb for the 92-96 Eddy Bower overhead console is a Wagner 12100. http://www.amazon.com/Wagner-12100-Bulb-Courtesy-Dome/dp/B0006H8O7I
If you use the search function at that link it will not know it fits the Bronco Eddy Bower. Believe me it does fit, I tested it in my OH console.
