I have an 89 bronco xlt with a 306, it has dual exhaust with hedders and everytime i run the truck for a little bit and it gets hot, i have the starter double wrapped in starter blankets to keep the heat out, but it wasnt wrapped for 3 years and i never had a problem, after running it wont starrt for like 30 mins, if i wait for it to cool down then it starts up fine, i replaced the starter and ALL cables, im out of ideas, someone please help, i even messed with the timing and that didnt do a thing, i thought maybe the battery but it starts fine when its cooled down, ANYONE PLEASE

I think someone else on here had that problem, I think someone told them to check the coil. i have never experienced this but I am pretty sure that was the prob.

yeah i think that the coil also gets hot if i am not mistaken or it the silenoid you can test that buy turning your key on and touching a metal piece to both of the connections at the same time if it starts its the silenoid ... try that and see youll see what i mean when you look at it , just take a knife or something with a plactic handle maybe a ***** driver and touch one side of the terminal and gently bump the other side ... it bypasses the silenoid goodluck
