My '91 has the front 60/40 split bench. I want to get rid of it, and swap in buckets from an EB of the same year. I alrady found a center console, but I'm wondering if the buckets are going to bolt right up? Does anyone know if ford made provisions in the broncos to mount either/or. Am I gonna have to drill some extra holes? I haven't pulled up my carpet yet to see whats down there, I was just hoping to find someone who has swapped out the bench for a set of buckets, so I could get a better idea on what I was in for...I guess maybe I should have done that b4 I started buying stuff.

Justshootme84. I found that link for http://home.comcast.net/~miesk5/. That site has some awesome links on it, I just couldn't find anyone that had done the bench to bucket swap(I could have missed it tho). It seemed like everyone already had buckets.

I'm fairly certain the F-150's share the same mounting points for the bench and bucket seats. But on the Bronco, the passenger-side bucket seat is a flip-up deal, with a special bracket made just for that side. I still think the factory mounting holes for buckets are in your Bronco with the split bench seat. Instead of pulling up all of the carpet, try looking from underneath at the floorpan. ALL of the seat bracket holes are re-inforced, with a square nut under the floor attached to the metal for the bolts to go thru. You should see those for the inner seat bracket bolts, next to the tranny **** in the center where you will mount your console. You can see the bolt pattern for the psngr-side bracket in my write-up on the PRP seat install. And if I run across an article on the bucket swap for a bench in the Bronco, I'll post that link, too. You may have to "wade" thru all of the bucket seat links over at the Miesk5 Home page under "interior" if you have the time.

Another option would be to mount the bucket seats and console to your bench seat frame. JSM84

Ya, I did some further inspecting when I was taking my "before" pics today, and I think I found all the holes. I dont think I'm going to run into any problems.

I'll be pulling up the carpet anyways, b/c I'm changing the color. I'm getting rid of my well-worn tan, and going with the black from JBG. Then my seats should get here late next week, and I'll be covering them with Katzkin leather. That will probably be 2 paychecks from now tho...That stuff is kinda spendy. $895 for both buckets, and the rear bench, one color. Another $70 for colored piping.
