spout conecter

so when the mech looked at my truck an hooked up his 8000 dollar hand held snap-on comp.to my truck it said that the spout conecter for the timing wasnt hooked up,thats why i had no balls in my truck.does any one know where it is or have a pic of it so i can try and find it?btw,truck should be back on the road wed.just an update on my problem:the little black cap on the top of the dist.cap feel off so water go in my dis.and rusted all to shit.also my tps is bad and the real kicker is that when i put the throtal all the way down my valves on the intake onlt open a qureter of the way open!go figure.

how do you know your valves only open 1/4 of the way? you mean your throttle plate on the TB?

what ignition system does your truck have? tfi im assuming since its an FI truck. there is a connector on your coil(wouldnt run with that off), there is one on your distributor and the one going to your EEC module. Typically the output from the eec module is "spout" and the input is (pip) but i dont know that there is a connector just for the output unless he was talking about where it connects to the distributor. spout stands for spark out as far as in know.

btw, Later years had the SPOUT conn, re-located near hood hinge, driver's side. Did the mech. re-connect it?

Did he say if there is a DTC (diagnostic trouble code)?

BTW... I think that if one did a self test and pulled codes KOEO and KOER one would have gotten a code 213 or 214 SPOUT connection failure

no he never found it thats why i wonderd if any one knew the location or had a pic.i will have to look when i get it backthanks for the help.also he saidthat the spout was for the timing and you disconect it when you do the timing.he said that with that unhooked my truck wouldnt have as much power as its saposed to.
