Hey all,

Well, I finally have my '66. First order of buisness is to get it running, then get it to move, then get it to stop. After all that, I need to fix something that is nagging at me. The guy I bought this from said that the Bronco was dropped from a lift at a shop. The shop made some shotty repairs, and now it sits a little slanted. the windshield appears to have taken the brunt of the force since the top was off at the time. You might be able to see that it sits about two inches higher in the passenger side. I am assuming that some of you may have had a roll over in your Bronco, and am wondering what my options are to repair this very annoying flaw.

Perfection,

Joel

Doesn't look to terribly bad. That lean is the typical "Bronco Lean". The only way to correct that is to loosen and/or remove the radius arms then retighten everything. What happens is that someone (whom ever was the last person to fiddle with them) didn't tighten the 4 studs on the "C" clamps correctly. If you loosen them up (both sides) and then watch what you are doing when you reinstall/tighten, you can fix it and it will sit correct.

Thanks S_bolt19. The guy I bought it from installed the Duff lift himself and very well may have mucked it up. Or, maybe the drop caused the Radius arm to move or bend? I'll have to look closer. Right now I am battling the wasps that have decided to use the Bronco. Anyway, I really appreciate the input. I read in the repair manual that the correct tightening pattern is top to bottom diagonally in pairs to 90-100ft lbs.
