There are a lot of ways to build beadlocks.

This is just one more...

Picture 1:

you can see the two steel rings that are going to be used for the rim.

the inner ring is 3/8" and the outter ring is 1/4"

Pic 2:

this is a close up shot of the 3/8" (inner ring), we machined the ring to be press fit inside the rim lip.

Pic 3:

Its the 3/8" ring already pressed in and ready to be welded.

Pic 4:

You need to clean up both parts to be welded (4" grinder does a great job...)

we used nuts with chamfer to center the outer ring with the inner ring...

Now, here comes the interesting part...

The way the tire is centered.

We used the bolts (7/16") to center the tire.

We cut these rings with the latte 4 at a time to save costs

Next we have to fine tune each ring one by one.

Every set is then numbered to keep track of which side is going to face the rim (3/8" ring) and which side is going to have the seat for the chamfered nuts (1/4")

About the 16.5" alum rims.

IT CAN be done.

Due to different types of rims (talking about the lip of the rim)

it is nearly impossible to fabricate a "one size fits all" kit.

I can build both rings with 6061 T-6 alum for you, but you would have to deal witn the welding.

I can do the welding as well but shipping your rims would be quite expensive...

This steel kit is designed around the 8" wide OEM rims.

Those are SAE grade 5 bolts, 2" long.

There is enough space behind the inner ring to work with a 4" grinder.

as you can see its easier to damage the nut than it is to bend a bolt,

we have never bent a bolt, but in case of that happen we have a kit to replace the bolt with a stud.
