Here's my deal, 79, 351m/C-6, NP205, 44/9", now with 4:88's, 7 " lift and 38" TSL SX's om 15x10.
That being said, my problem is highway rpm's. I swapped my gears from 4.10's to 4.88's. great off the line, low end mid range, until highway speeds. My poor little 351m is screaming around 50 MPH.
My personal ideas are one or more of the following, either
a-hack the fenders and upsize tires(am a believer in lower lift height w/ larger tires)
b-spend more time and money and downsize gearing to 4:56's
c-find maybe a decent OD trans that'll bolt up w/ minimal, if any mods.
It seems if I have just 1 more gear in the trans, I'd be ok.......
