Good morning!  Have a 79 Bronco Ranger XLT with a 351M/400.  I have a built 460 on the stand that I plan on swapping into the truck in the spring.  Since the truck is a factory A/C truck (though the compressor is missing at this time), and the 460 has tall valve covers to clear the roller rockers, it appears that there will probably be an interference issue between the evaporator box on the firewall and the valve covers on the engine.  I definitely want to keep the factory heating system, and ideally keep the A/C option open for future completion, am I going to run into a major issue wedging this monster into the engine bay?  If so, do any of you have any advice on how to go about modifying the evaporator housing as necessary to accommodate the engine?  My plan was to use the L&L engine mounts.  Would another brand of swap mount work better to allow the engine to sit a bit lower or ???

OR, fingers crossed, is this a drop in deal and I'm worrying for nothing?

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you!!

Yo P,

Welcome!

Matt Elgie inserted a 460 in his 78 Bronco and apparently used aftermarket Mickey Thompson valve covers brand.

I think the evap and refridgerant hoses are shown in the pics.
