What's the best way to learn how to use/understand/read wiring diagrams?  I know nothing about them and when I look at the diagrams it's like a foreign language.  Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the info.  I had actually taken off my door panel yesterday to see if I could figure out the issue with my window.  The guy told me it needed a new motor but got in there and the motor wasn't even in there and the switch looks pretty deplorable.  It's quite confusing seeing all these wires.  I'd attach a pic of it but can't figure out how to attach one with replies...

Youtube videos! No joke look it up and start learning. Another way is to go to a local pull apart with a wiring diagram in your hand and learn by looking through wiring harnesses.

So here is what I diagnosed so far with the driver's side window.  First off, I need a motor (there's not one in there).  As you can see from the pics below, someone has done a lot of work previously and it's looking pretty bad down there.  I'm also thinking about getting a new switch panel (there's a couple on ebay that look to be in pretty good condition).  I've also noticed that the plug for the motor to the wiring is missing.  I see where the red and yellow wire is but no connector.  Would you know what specific connector to get to fit into the connector I get with the new motor or do I just need to buy a new male/female connector for it?  A link to a specific connector would be great!

The first pic is the connector that I'm needing (took the pic from the passenger door) and the second pic is the switch panel I'm considering replacing (you can see the exposed yellow and red wires to the right where I'm needing to plug in the motor).

Yo,

For the connector and motor, best is to visit a yard & pull what you need.  See list at end of this reply.    Test the motor with 12 vdc portable tool batty. Red wire gets positive + from batty, negative on batty to motor body

Then  other direction on yellow, negative on batty to motor body

Most parts store carry connectors.  Tell them how many terminals or wires need there are.  They will prob have the motors somthey can match it up.

Motor Models - the split between models of the 92 (for power window motor purposes) occurs in May. If it was made BEFORE May, the window motor is the same as a '91. Otherwise, the motor is the same as the '92-96

The upper plug is the power for the windows/locks & the smaller is power for the speaker. On the driver side, the connectors look the same but the green one is gray..."
