I'm stumped on this one. After a valve cover replacement, the motor ran fine at idle, but bogged down under load. Acted like a misfire. Tried again and it stalled out and won't restart. Checked and was getting no spark. Replaced plugs and wires, ignition coil, distributer cap and rotor and TFI. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can probably obtain the HIGH ENERGY SPARK TESTER; AND FUEL pump pressure gauge (if needed), etc. at local parts store using their loan a tool program.

Try a Self Test for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)s by my pal, BroncoJoe19 @ http://broncozone.com/topic/14269-code-reader/?pid=74587&mode=threaded

Some basics;

The engine temperature must be greater than 50° F for the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test

If you can get it to run, then do the Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self-Test.

Post Code(s) here according to:

KOEO

&

KOER

GL Bob!

Check to make sure there isn't a wire pinched under the valve cover. That happened to me when I had a set of heads installed.
