I just put some 31x10.5x15 on my 1969.

The tires rub on the radious rods as the tires are much wider then stock.

What is the proper way to limit the amount of steering travel so there is a stop before tires hit?

There is a "stop-bolt" on the back side of axle., just below the coil spring. Moving it out will shorten/adj. the knuckle travel. :)>-
