I found a bad leak on my steering box, is seems to be coming out where the pitman arm connects to the steering box.

Would this be the part that I need? "P/S Gear Pitman Shaft Complete Seal Kit" its $24 from napa.

also if that is the one how hard/ easy is it to change without removing the steering box? Just unbolt the pitman arm and rip the old seal and clips out?

Last my steering has alot of play in it at the steering box input shaft from the steering column. is there some part I can replace that will make it better, like the steering box input shaft , or would it be worn out inside the steering box?

Yo Krafty!!

Play; The leakage past da input shaft could be the problem here. Also check for sector shaft damage; seen em twisted like a pretzel in large F series...

esp. " Front End Wander Front end wander is a condition that is noticed when the vehicle is driven in a straight ahead position with the wheel held in a firm position, but the vehicle wanders to either the right or left side. Front end alignment should be checked before any gear service is made.

NOTE: Front end alignment and tire pressures should be checked before any gear service is performed..." read more

Bigric used this Ford MotorCraft Shaft Seal Kit (input shaft seal kit Ford F3AZ-3E502-A; sector shaft seal kit Ford D7AZ-3E501- B)

and his full rebuild @ http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46322

See if that NAPA kit is = to the Ford kit

& Chexmix used this kit in his 89 Bronco;
